Harley was commissioned by the same client who commissioned the portrait of Tucker (the labrador with the rock). This was a surprise gift for her stepson. Harley was an absolute sweetheart, and the key to getting this mellow boy to perk up for the camera turned out to be to have someone hold a treat just over the camera lens! This was a wonderful drawing to work on, one of that just sort of drew itself and went along very smoothly. He looks so regal!
