Another couple of horses I took some photos of while visiting a friend, this is "Windy" the Quarter Horse and her colt "Mario" the Azteca. Mario was the first offspring from my friend's Andalusian stallion, and the first foal born that spring. I did this drawing as an entry for an art show, not as a commissioned portrait. Actually, I started drawing it AT an art show a year before I entered it (in the Draft Horse Classic). Probably nobody who saw it done remembered seeing it in progress, oh well!
